Who is Zello Partners?

Zello Partners is built on two Online Marketing Gurus, Vi Wickam, and Mike Griffis.

Vi and Mike also utilitze a stable of contract designers, and programmers who help implement their brilliant plans.

What’s with the Name?

There is a neat (geeky) story behind the name. Thanks for asking… When Vi and Mike met, Local search was just starting to catch on. Vi had been playing around with using Yellowikis, and realized that the localization of the Internet was going to be very important to local service businesses.

At the time, most (all) of the online yellow pages websites were pretty bad. Recognizing an opportunity, Vi and Mike set out to create an online local search website that was better than the yellow pages (didn’t stink). As they were brainstorming for names, the name Zello(w) came up as one better than yellow (Z = Y + 1). For you geeks out there, it also references PWNED – you really got owned. It had a nice ring to it, and had a good story to tell.

Zello Pages and Beyond…

The site that they created was http://www.zellopages.com.   Zello Pages was a great project that expanded the online local search platform by adding video, and audio to business listings, as well as being very search friendly. Zello Pages local search is a great product, but for Vi and Mike, there was a down side. They really wanted to be able to make their clients wildly successful online.

Local search is useful, but it is a small part of creating a booming business online. Also, because Vi and Mike were each running their own successful businesses at the time, it was very hard to get out and sell a product that was a inexpensive as local search listings.  And, if you are selling an inexpensive product that requires hundreds or thousands of customers to make a living, you can’t possibly spend the time with each customer that is required to help them be wildly successful online.

Less Clients???

Following their strategy, Vi and Mike decided that the only way to give their clients the attention required to make them wildly successful was to have less clients.  Zello Partners looks to build long term relationships with their clients by helping their clients generate outstanding revenue.  To that end, we are very selective about which clients we engage with. Unless we believe your project has potential, we will politely recommend someone else for your project.
